1124 Arnold Drive, Suite 101B, Martinez, CA 94553
When I took my first martial arts class at age 9, I had no idea what a profound impact it would have on my life. Since then, I have seen thousands of students enjoy the lifelong benefits of martial arts training – including my son Griffin and my daughter Seraphine.
When I opened my school in 2003, I made a commitment to serving and empowering the community of Martinez by teaching children and adults the confidence, leadership, and fitness skills that can only be achieved through martial arts.

Songahm Taekwondo is the style of martial arts practiced by ATA Martial Arts students.
Introduced by Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee in 1983, Songahm Taekwondo provides a step-by-step path from white belt to black belt and beyond, enabling students to develop incremental skills and achieve their goals regardless of age or physical or mental ability.
One of the most fun parts of martial arts training is the ability to test your skills by competing in a tournament. Tournaments are not only fun for competitors, but they also become a great social experience for parents! There are currently 130,000 ATA Martial Arts members worldwide. ATA Martial Arts students compete in local tournaments with students from other ATA schools. Competitors also have the opportunity to participate in District Championships and the annual National competition in Las Vegas, NV. The tournament season culminates with the ATA World Expo Tournament in Little Rock, AR in the summer, where students compete with finalists from all over the planet in one of largest martial arts competitions in the world.
